This schedule shows what to study each week. Follow it to move from Band 4 to Band 5.

How to Use This Schedule

  • Study 45-60 minutes per day
  • Practice 5 days per week
  • Rest 2 days per week

Phase 1: Foundation (Weeks 1-4)

1 Getting Started Take diagnostic, 2 easy passages (no timer), 10 vocabulary words 45-60 min
2 Reading Basics 3 easy passages, Multiple Choice strategy, 10 vocabulary words 45-60 min
3 T/F/NG Focus T/F/NG strategy, 2-3 easy passages, Listening Section 1-2 45-60 min
4 First Check Timed easy passage, Review weak areas, Mini-assessment 45-60 min

Phase 2: Development (Weeks 5-8)

5 Adding Speed Easy passages (timed), Medium passages (no timer), 10 vocabulary words 45-60 min
6 Question Types Matching Headings, Sentence Completion strategies 45-60 min
7 Listening Skills Listening Sections 2-3, Note-taking practice 45-60 min
8 First Mock Full Reading mock test, Review all errors 90 min (test day)

Phase 3: Exam Ready (Weeks 9-12)

9 Medium Passages Medium passages (timed), Hard passages (no timer), Diagnostic 45-60 min
10 Full Listening Complete Listening exam, All section types 60 min
11 Weak Areas Focus on your problem question types, Review vocabulary 45-60 min
12 Final Mock Full Reading mock, Full Listening mock, Compare to Week 1 scores 3-4 hours (test day)

Track Your Progress

Write down your scores each week. You should see improvement after Week 4.

The online version saves your progress. You can see which activities you finished and your scores over time.

What Comes Next

After 12 weeks, take the diagnostic test again. Compare your scores to Week 1.

If you reached Band 5, look for the Band 5 to 6 plan (coming soon). If you need more time at Band 4-5, repeat the activities you found hardest.
