The story behind TryMockIELTS
We Believe You Can Succeed
IELTS is challenging. But it's not mysterious.
The test has a structure. It has patterns. It has a logic. Once you understand that structure, once you've practiced enough to feel comfortable with the format, you can focus on what actually matters: demonstrating your English skills.
That's what TryMockIELTS is for.
We're not selling tricks or shortcuts. We're not promising to "hack" the test. We're giving you the tools to prepare properly:
We believe that with the right practice, you can walk into your exam confident and prepared. Our job is to give you that practice.
The Problem With IELTS Prep
Recycled Official Content
The same Cambridge tests copied across dozens of websites. You've probably seen the same passages three times already. Once you've memorised the answers, what's the point?
Low-Quality Knockoffs
Poorly written passages that don't match real IELTS difficulty. Questions with ambiguous answers. Grading that doesn't reflect actual exam standards. Practice that teaches you the wrong things.
Expensive Subscriptions
Monthly fees that add up. Pressure to "use it or lose it." Cancellation hassles. All for content you might only need for a few weeks.
We wanted something different:
So we built it.
How We Create Content
Written to Standard
Every passage follows official IELTS specifications: word count, difficulty progression, academic register, question types. We study the real test so our practice matches it.
Reviewed for Quality
Content goes through multiple reviews before publishing. We check for accuracy, clarity, and fair grading. If a question is ambiguous, we fix it.
Built for Repetition
Each passage has multiple question sets. This builds real comprehension skills, not memorisation. You can take the same passage twice and face completely different questions.
Continuously Improving
When users report issues or suggest improvements, we listen. The platform gets better over time.

Our Values
Honesty Over Hype
We won't promise you'll "guarantee a Band 8" or "boost your score in 7 days." Test preparation takes work. We give you the tools; you put in the effort.
Quality Over Quantity
We'd rather have 50 excellent passages than 500 mediocre ones. Every piece of content should be worth your time.
Fair Pricing
One-time purchases. No subscriptions. No tricks. You know exactly what you're paying for.
Continuous Improvement
We read feedback. We fix problems. We add features. The platform grows with our users.
Built by a Test-Taker
TryMockIELTS was created after experiencing firsthand the frustration of IELTS preparation: the same recycled tests everywhere, the lack of real feedback, the subscription fatigue.
"I wanted practice materials I could trust. Original content that actually challenged me. Instant feedback so I could learn from my mistakes. And pricing that made sense. When I couldn't find it, I decided to build it."
Questions? Feedback? Ideas?
We'd love to hear from you.
You can also use the thumbs up/down buttons on any question to report issues.
Thank You
If you've read this far, thank you.
We're building this practice platform for people like you: self-motivated learners who want real preparation, not shortcuts. Every session you complete helps us understand what works and what needs improvement.
Good luck with your preparation. We're rooting for you.
