This is what you get after completing a diagnostic. Specific, actionable feedback you can use immediately.
Writing Task 2 Feedback
What's working:
Your essay addresses all parts of the question and presents a clear position throughout.
To reach Band 7:
Develop your main ideas more fully. Your second body paragraph introduces the idea of "economic benefits" but doesn't explain how or provide specific examples. Add 2-3 sentences expanding on this point.
Issue identified:
Overuse of "However" and "In addition" at paragraph starts. You used "However" 4 times. Try alternatives: "On the other hand," "That said," "Conversely."
Speaking Part 2 Feedback
Strength:
Good pace with natural pauses. You spoke for the full 2 minutes without significant hesitation.
Sounds to practice:
"th" sounds: You pronounced "think" as "tink" and "weather" as "weader"
Word stress:
"development" should stress the second syllable: de-VEL-op-ment, not DE-vel-op-ment

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the diagnostic really free?
Yes. Registered users get one full diagnostic every 30 days at no cost. No credit card required, no hidden fees.
How long does it take?
About 2.5 hours if you do it in one sitting (authentic mode). Or spread it over up to 7 days with flexible mode.
How accurate is the scoring?
Reading and Listening use official IELTS grading rules. Writing and Speaking are assessed based on the published IELTS band descriptors. While no practice test can perfectly replicate official scoring, our feedback helps you understand your current level and what to improve.
Why only once per month?
The diagnostic is meant to measure your baseline and track progress over time. Taking it too frequently wouldn't give you time to improve between attempts. For daily practice, use our Reading and Listening modules (free) or Speaking and Writing tests (with credits).
What if I want more Speaking and Writing practice?
You can purchase credits or subscribe for unlimited practice. The $5 ad-free purchase includes 2 free credits to try it out.
